Charley's Claw

“Charley’s Claw” was inspired by the ball and claw legs on antique furniture. There’s a vintage flash bulb where the glass ball would be and it’s wrapped with antique fishing cable and hardware. The claw is made of polymer clay and finished with patinas and acrylic paints.
The inside is hollow and forms a viewing tube so if you look through the optical lens on the end you can see the top of the flash bulb which looks quite mysterious. The flash bulb also looks much farther away than it could possibly be thanks to the shape of the lens. The inside view is a bit tricky to photograph so sorry we don’t have that for you to see. Trust me, it’s quite cool in there.  : )
